LCD TV Bed
Back in January, last year, we told you about the European Murphy Computer Bed from FlyingBeds which makes the transfer from bed to desk to bed without any fuss. That was just one of innovative bed designs from the company’s catalogue. We just found out another amazing bed design which was released by the company in its yester years but nevertheless deserves a mention, without moving further. Check out this LCD TV bed that allows you to “hide” your TV under the bed while sleeping and “hide” the bed while watching TV during the day. Though, this is as opposed to the current trend that clearly popularises a TV bed which enables you to watch all your favorite TV programs right when you are relaxing on your bed like the multimedia TV bed. The LCD TV bed features a television uniquely attached to the bottom of stored Queen bed. The whole TV-cum-bed cabinet looks like a piece of antique Victorian furniture. The bed though is seem really over-priced at $13,750.
Star Trek I SpaceSuit Sells For $10,100
If you are an ardent fan of the sci-fi Star Trek series then this spacesuit costume needs no introduction. But, in case you are not able to recollect, this authentic spacesuit was featured prominently in Star Trek I when “Spock” (Leonard Nimoy) left the “Enterprise” to conduct a mindmeld with the ‘V’Ger Probe’ was auctioned on eBay. The costume comes complete with a pair of gloves, a collar that Velcro’s into place around the neck and on the shoulders, and a pair of spats that clasp onto the legs of the jumpsuit. The costume also features a molded chest frame for a helmet. The costume sold for a mind boggling $10,100.03.

Impressive! But, we still can’t get over the Scion Five Axis XA Speedster concept and the Scion XA concept that was powered by PlayStation 3.

Fujitsu FOMA F704i the Waterproof Phone
I had my Nokia 6260 dropped in a pail of water and I bring to the shop unfortunately they can’t fix it. But if you have Fujitsu FOMA F704i, you won’t have to worry about dropping off water. FOMA F704i is a waterproof clamshell that can withstand maximum 3 meters depth in water. You can bring this for swimming, but for scuba diving NO. It features the FOMA World Ring (use it worldwide), a 1.3MPx camera, the DCMX ID (bank recognition), MP3 player and Napster to Go.
Sanyo Easy Streetnav NVM-4070 GPS [..]
Sanyo, not the first name you think of when you dream of GPS navigators, just came out with the NVM-4070, equipped with a 4-inch, 16:9 touchscreen, a SiRF Star III receiver, traffic, text-to-speech for reading off street names, 1.8 million points of interest, Video/Photo/MP3/WMA playback and an FM transmitter to get the nav and music channeled through your car stereo.
It also has Bluetooth for phone functionality, including address book sync and speakerphone. (I assume when a call comes in, it shows callerID and pauses your music, but don’t quote me on that.) It has an SD card slot and a lousy 64MB of internal storage. My bet is at $500, it’s not a big HDD. There’s a $400 version (NVM-4050), which loses auto-rerouting, traffic, photo and video playback and the FM transmitter.
Colorware Colors Up iPhones in Style
Want your iPhone in a color other than silver? Apple can't help, but Colorware's got you covered. You saw what a good job they did on on Xbox 360, so there's no reason to think their quality will be anything but spectacular for the iPhone. You can send in your existing iPhone and have them color it up for $149, or buy a pre-colored 4GB for $649 and a 8GB for $749. Not a bad deal if you really want to get an even bigger head start on differentiating yourself from other cellphone users. But if you're being cheap, you can always get a $48 back replacement.
Samsung’s SGH-730i (i-mode slider) coming to Europe
We're not sure why you'd want a universal remote that actually has to flip open to use, but we're not going to tell you people how to live your lives. In the chance that you do, GE's $18.99 Flip Unviersal Remote has the standard power, channel and volume buttons on top, with the numbers, video modes and DVD playback buttons inside. Cool, yes, but not all that practical. Your kids will have fun using it as a Star Trek communicator though.

IceBar Waterproof iPod Nano Speaker
The iceBar moves the party stereo from the poolside into the pool, securely holding your iPod in a waterproof polycarbonate case. It floats, too, though it has a wrist strap if you're worried about it drifting off. The nano's clickwheel, power and mute functions are all accessible with the case on. The iceBar does have one drawback, though.
Sounds like it's a little bit of a battery hog since it burns through three AA batteries after 18 hours of continuous play. Still, if you have either the first- or second- generation nano and often find yourself poolside (and with people who share your taste in music), the iceBar might help get through the summer—that is, if developer Atlantic didn't have plans for their speaker case to be released this holiday season. The iceBar should cost around $70.
Security Ring Keeps Nosy Co-Workers at Bay
Instead of always having to remember to lock your desktop when you go for a whiz at work, this Security Ring by designer Yang Hai takes care of all of that for you. You put the ring on one of your fingers, and when it gets a certain distance away from the base station (which is connected to your computer), all your programs get locked. We've set up our machines to do the same thing with Bluetooth cellphones, but a ring is much easier to remember. Too bad it's only a design, because we could see ourselves using this for other purposes as well.

DIY Custom ringtones on the iPhone
Black & White iPhone Skin
I don't even own an iPhone, and I'm already sick of its mass produced, family friendly, there is no poverty and the world can be simple icons. Meanwhile, I'm digging this black and white version one user created and dared to load onto his iPhone—risking not only his precious tech, but the fragile, tacit blessing of Steve Jobs, too. While the process isn't exactly drag 'n drop, it's not straight coding either. Using Jailbreak software, you crash your (friend's) iPhone and replace the icon.png files with anything of your choosing. Once you are done loading the (Windows 95) icon set, just restart the iPhone and everything should be functioning fine (your friend will never talk to you again). Hit the link for the full process and free black & white icon collection…just don't come crying to us if you screw up and flush $600 (of your former friend's money) down the drain.
LG Shine Gets All Moody & Sexy
LG are set to add to their ever-popular Black Label Series by releasing the LG Shine in a new, sulky Titanium Black finish. To save any confusion at the checkout they're releasing this model as the 'LG Shine Titanium Black.'
The feature set remains unchanged from the original and it is planned for release at the end of July 2007. Initially it will be made available within the UK, France, Netherlands and Austria (no stateside plans yet).
The Shine used to prance about like Paris Hilton, driving too fast and pissed with the ramifications. The new makeover, however, wouldn't batter an eyelash at a stretch inside; instead it would take down the system and look suave doing it.
Guitar Hero for Mini Mes
If your manhood is less than 2cm; (yeah, I went metric on you), chances are your hand span is not too great either. Help is not far, Frodo, as XFPS have entered the niche market with their super-tiny Guitar Hero controllers.
Not only could this possibly be the cutest accessory to date that didn't have the Hello Kitty branding across it, it will also brighten the little lives of all those in Middle Earth. Screw the ring, throw this around your neck friends and rock on! Though it may at first seem to be somewhat of a gimmick, these tiny guitars are expertly crafted from real wood and the whammy bar is genuine metal, no less. The controllers are fully functioning with backlit buttons and are currently available for the PS2 and XBOX 360 at $69.90 each. The XBOX 360 version isn't compatible out of the box; you'll have to invest in an adapter at $69.90. The price of small time gaming, unlike the size, will be daunting to all but the most serious enthusiasts.
FairUse4WM - Strip DRM, Strip!
A new edition of FairUse4WM has been released, allowing for Zune Marketplace WMAs to be stripped of their DRM so you can have fair use rights your purchases—copying to other devices at will. Think of it as a Zune without the Zune…or better yet…iTunes DRM-free without the Mac vs. PC bickering. For XP and Vista.
Trouble with the ladies? Well it's not for your lack of trying, I'm quite certain. Women who aren't interested in World of Warcraft can't be worth your time anyway. Still, if the constant pang of rejection is starting to takes its toll and you need a hand, look no further, Google Eau de Toilette will have you sorted. It is guaranteed to make you more appealing than Brad Pitt dosed in pheromones at a fantasy, panty pillow-fight party. If you had problems with women in the first instance your sure to have them after too; fending off the horny hoards of scantily clad, busty babes won't be easy. Get your bottle now! That is, er, if you can find any…
Jellio Lite Table, Candy For Your Brain
Jellio might sound like the name of a super addictive confectionary that in surplus will give you the mother of all stomachaches. Rest assured that it is in fact the company behind the very chic Lite Table (their spelling, not ours).
The table comprises the solid structure base with 100 large acrylic pegs inset; the pegs can be rearranged to live out your wildest acrylic peg rearrangement fantasies. As if that was not enough to satisfy you, the magic happens when a small light source is placed under the table. The light shimmers through giving you the feeling that perhaps magic mushrooms won't be needed to reach your oh-so euphoric high. When you come round to your senses and realise that you've just spent $600 for the said privilege, you may, however, reconsider your recent drug-free decision. A shame then you'll have no money left over to indulge your sorrows.
PSP Clone is a Torrent Playing Machine
Do you dream of a portable media player that has NES, SNES & SEGA MD/SMS emulation whilst also handling DIVX & XVID in its stride? Do you also dream of having a Playboy mansion and a bigger willy? Well, on the first account at least this is sure to help: Witness the thoughtfully titled 'Portable Media Player'. More after the jump.
If the $109 Portable Media Player were a tin of sardines, it would be crammed so tight with salty fish you wouldn't be able to get the lid on.
Thankfully, instead of salty fish the PMP supports all of the following: (deep breath): MP3, WMA, FLAC; Emulation - NES, SNES, SEGA MD/SMC; Picture viewing and Video playback support for AVI, MPEG-4, DIVX, XVID.
This bad boy further comes with a 1.3MP camera with an option for VHS quality video recording, 1GB onboard with an SD slot which supports up to a further 4GB. With a 3.6" screen and a decent battery, (20hrs music / 6hrs video), I can more than happily look past the Tomy toys outer casing.
That aside one reviewer really sums up this media beast better than I ever could:
"The products have many functions which make me feel more exciting! " – Haroon Malik
U Bend…Books Become Bookends
The U Bend is a book rack with a trick: it creates its own bookend for you. Impossible you say? The work of sorcery, and even black magic, you wonder? Nope. The bar is bent so one book is recessed below the others, allowing many books to lean on just one. But for $95, we wish that it included a second bookend.

Steve Strawn Snaps Glass, Mid-Crash
We show you a lot of videos of stuff breaking, and it's all cool but it's all ugly. Well, here's some breaking news that's as pretty as it is shattering. Take a look at these photos by master photog Steve Strawn, who not only knows exactly when to release the shutter, he's probably pretty good with a broom, too. The prize-winning photo above is entitled "Breaking Primaries." After you check out a small sampling of more of his beautiful breakage in the gallery below, be sure to see the rest of his remarkable body of work at his website.

New $300 Wal-Mart PC is Bloatware-Free
She ain't much to look at, but the Everex IMPACT GC3502 is a basic box, running a 1.5GHz VIA CPU, 1GB of RAM, 80GB of HDD and a DVD burner, and for $300 includes keyboard, mouse and speakers, but no monitor. Best of all it comes with Vista home, OpenOffice 2.2 and is free from craplets infestation.
We're glad Everex is taking a stand, and hope other mainstream companies see the writing on the wall and stop shoving AOL trial widgets down our throats. We know how to use PCs, and we want 'em shiny and new on the inside when we buy 'em. The PC isn't on Walmart's site yet, but it should be soon.

Sanyo Easy Streetnav NVM-4070 GPS
Sanyo, not the first name you think of when you dream of GPS navigators, just came out with the NVM-4070, equipped with a 4-inch, 16:9 touchscreen, a SiRF Star III receiver, traffic, text-to-speech for reading off street names, 1.8 million points of interest, Video/Photo/MP3/WMA playback and an FM transmitter to get the nav and music channeled through your car stereo.
It also has Bluetooth for phone functionality, including address book sync and speakerphone. (I assume when a call comes in, it shows callerID and pauses your music, but don't quote me on that.) It has an SD card slot and a lousy 64MB of internal storage. My bet is at $500, it's not a big HDD. There's a $400 version (NVM-4050), which loses auto-rerouting, traffic, photo and video playback and the FM transmitter.

iLive’s Extra-Wide iPod Surround Speakerbar
The iLive Flat Panel Docking System is a virtual surround sound bar that uses magnetically shielded 2 full mid/high range drivers and twin internal woofers. You can pretty much hook up whatever you want—DVD players, TVs, computers via USB, other audio players—but considering it has a specially built motorized tray that fits an iPod, we're guessing that's what iLive had in mind. The unit also has a headphone jack. Weird.
Now why would you plug in your iPod just to use the dock's headphone port? Once your iPod is docked, you can control it by the player's buttons, or by remote. It's got pretty much everything else you'd expect in the way of frills, from the usual AM/FM tuner to a backlit LCD clock that has an alarm, too. Expect to pay around $350.
Cellphone Transforms Into Deadly Robot
Check out this transforming cellphone concept found over at Parkoz Hardware. It turns into a little bi-pedal bot, complete with twin miniguns. Definitely reminiscent of scenes from Michael Bay's Tranformers, with a little bit of Batteries Not Included, Short Circuit, and Robocop (ED-209, anyone?) Koreans get the coolest cellphones, so it figures their concepts are going to be kick-ass, too. Video of the miniguns chewing up a desk, post jump.

Ghetto Wii Wheel From Billet Mechanical Takes
If you thought the plastic-looking Nintendo Wii Mario Kart wheel was a little too classy, Billet Mechanical has the wheel for you. First, it's not even a wheel. It's a Knight Rider-like half steering wheel that has grips on the two ends for gripping. It's not like you're doing hand over hand on regular wheels anyway, but shaping it like a wheel is probably the least you can do for the authentic wheel experience.
Also, this thing is $44.95. We're guessing that some of your money goes into the aluminum and velcro build, which probably feels quite a bit nicer than plastic. The rest? Into the fantastic product design. But hey, if you're ever pretending you're Michael Knight, this and a talking watch with the voice of William Daniels will get you all the way home.
Further Playstation 3 Price Cut Predicted
Capcom, the developer behind multiple treasured video game series such as Street Fighter and Resident Evil, is forecasting yet another substantial price cut for Sony's Playstation 3. Said Capcom Chief Financial Officer Kazuhiko Abe to reporters:
"…the price has been cut once and it is likely to be cut again towards the end of the year. I expect the (PS3's) installed base to grow gradually."
This prediction comes after last week's $100 drop in price, bringing the cheapest Playstation 3 to $500, and also because of the console's significant lag in sales behind the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360.
So what's in store for us next week? Yet another discount? Our hope: a Playstation 3 with every Happy Meal.
My Pet Fish Soap
At first glance you might thought is a pack of water with fish inside but it’s not. It is My Pet Fish, a soap that shaped like “water in a bag” with fish inside. The soap has no scent, measuring 3 1/2″H x 3″ at widest; 5 1/2″ and available $6.95 per pack.
Bang & Olufsen’s Beosound 6 DAP
Style-maven Bang & Olufsen introduced their new DAP called the Beosound 6. It is a simple design candybar-shaped audio player with stripped-down controls. 75-year-old has world’s fastest private internet connection
Swedish news site The Local reports that 75-year old Swede's home has been tricked-out with a record-breaking 40 Gb/s connection - the first time a private residence has tapped into the internet at such high speeds. The lightning fast Internet connection is thanks to the money and her son Peter Löthberg a Swedish optical internet guru working at Cisco. Ma Löthberg's house was converted into a broadband dog-and-pony act in an effort to promote high-speed fibre connections as a commercially viable platform. With such a connection she can download a DVD in 0.14 seconds and a HD-DVD in 3 seconds. The secret that stands behind this speed is in new modulation technique. This technique allows data to be transferred to de distances up to 2,000 kilometers directly between only two routers. This does not involve any intermediary transponders which makes the connection even faster.
Japanese Sophia Nani Is A Full Touchscreen Phone, Media Player
It would seem that a certain black-and-silver phone has attracted a bit of a following in the design department. The Japan-only Sophia Nani, launching next week, sports a massive 4.3" touchscreen TFT display running at a crisp 800×400 resolution. A digital TV tuner rounds out a complete multimedia package, but one crucial feature will inevitably doom this newborn phone to the "design-only" box: Windows CE.
Yes, the beauty of the Nani is deceiving. The onboard WiFi capabilities will be handicapped by a sub-par web browser and multimedia capabilities will be bogged down by Windows Media Player 10. While the dual cameras are a unique addition (VGA in front, SVGA in back), the Nani boasts a simple Micro SD card slot in lieu of a more robust storage option like a hard drive. While it certainly won't challenge anything else out there for dominance of the phone/PMP market, the Sophia Nani is proof of the new design direction cell phones are heading in.

If you're looking for an incredibly simple way to control iTunes at home from your iPhone, look no further than Signal. Once you're running iTunes and Signal, all you have to do is connect to your Wi-Fi network (Yes it uses Wi-Fi, so you can go all over your house no more of this IR tomfoolery) and then point your iPhone to the web address that Signal provides you. Instantly you've got yourself a fully functional iTunes remote, complete with playlist access, album art and even customizable queues. While it is a bit on the pricey side, $29.95, it does do just about everything that you could ask from a media remote webapp.
Sagem my300C

The phone has a VGA camera, WAP, 3 MB of onboard memory, SMS, MMS, Java games and Polyphonic ringtones. The price of £40 ($ 80) is not as disappointing as the specifications. Fujifilm IS Pro Digital SLR Camera Has Predator Vision
Forget the visible light spectrum, any camera can hack that. The Fujifilm IS Pro is the most recent camera in Fujifilm's pro lineup that can shoot in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums as well. Tooled for professional snoops, it also has such gumshoey features as one-touch black-and-white Live Image Preview, post capture face-detection that identifies up to 10 faces per image and Mirror Lock-Up and Shutter Delay to reduce image blur in a long exposure. It's simply the choicest thing to accompany your coffee thermos and box of doughnuts on those long overnight stakeouts. Jump for the details, right from the horse's mouth.
